How To Manage Measurements

Introduction

Whether you are trying to gain muscle mass, losing fat, attempting a body recomposition or maintaining weight, keeping track of some body measurements can help you head in the right direction.

Flex Quest offers two main categories of body measurements:

  • Body composition: that includes body weight, body fat, lean mass and bone mass.
  • Muscle circumferences: measure and keep track of body parts from neck to calves.

Add a new measurement

To add a new measurement, simply navigate to the measurements section of the app and click “New” from the main menu. You will be taken to a new page where you will be able to input all necessary information. Click/tap “ADD” at the bottom to finally add the new measurement.

You can also add a new measurement data point by clicking the “New Measurement” from the dashboard speed dial.

View measurements

You will find all your measurements in a table from the measurement section of the app.

On desktops, hold “Shift” when scrolling with the mouse wheel to scroll horizontally and see more data.

Edit a measurement

From the measurement table, you will see an “Edit” button next to each measurement entry. Simply click/tap on it to navigate to the edit page, update the values of interest and click the “UPDATE” button at the bottom.

Delete a measurement

From the measurement table, you will see an “Edit” button next to each measurement entry. Simply click/tap on it to navigate to the edit page and click the “DELETE” button at the bottom.

Plot measurements

Head to the “Graph” page from the menu of the measurement section of the app. You will see a graph with predefined options if enough measurements exist.

Click on the gear icon near the top-right corner of the screen to open the graph settings.

From there, you can:

  • Change the date range of the measurements you wish to plot.
  • Set a first Y axis.
  • Set a second Y axis.

Having the possibility to have two Y axes can help you see how your body weight evolved over time compared to your body fat.

You can also choose to plot multiple muscle circumferences as the second Y axis to see how those measurements evolved along with your body weight.

The X axis will always show dates.
